Sivichai Udomvoranun, Founder

Graduated from Chulalongkorn University with B.Arch in 1993 (Honor with Top of the class) and graduated from University of Washington with Master of Architecture in 1999 with commended passed. He had experience in working in the US for over 6 years in Seattle, Washington with Carlson architect and Miller/Hull Partnership (AIA national firm of the year 2003).

He moved back to Thailand in 2005.

2006-2014 Partner at A49, Thailand leading architecture firm worked on projects both domestic and international.

Architecture of my own (AOMO) was founded in 2014.

The studio name was created from his personal believe and interesting aspects in architecture that he wants to pursue. That possibly can be achieved by doing his own practice, so he can decide what to do and what not. As a designer, he was profoundly influenced by both tropical architecture from SE Asia and Modern Pacific NW architecture from The US

In the past 9 years, he has continued to teach at Chulalongkorn university and others to help students understand more in professional practice and construction details and design.

The firm philosophy is to create simple and yet sophisticated architecture that make architecture timeless.

The Studio

We design various types of architecture from houses, hospitality, and commercial projects. We thrive for interesting projects, regardless of project sizes. We carefully design from simple to sophisticated details that will last through time. We value the people we work with. We make sure that clients' budget is carefully spent.

Our studio is an opened space studio with no wall, and meeting room, so we can share the ideas and communicate seamlessly.

We truly believe that architecture is not just about expensive materials and complicated building forms. We would like to create simple and sophisticated design that makes more clear and bigger design statement.

Respectful, honesty, compassion and professional is our day-to-day work discipline. We try to create something new for our clients since we understand that no one wants to be like others, but we won't forget about the site contexts and practicality.

Our Design Process

Program from the clients is one of the most crucial part of our design process. Sometimes we help the clients build the programs together through discussion and workshops.

We carefully listen to the clients' needs and sensible to the site of the projects.

Brainstorming and discussion are always a must to bring all the ideas and imaginations to get the best outcome for our design.

We communicate ideas by hand sketches, computer renderings, and physical models to help our clients understand spaces and designs more clearly.
